NOTE: Collar is NOT square, so be sure to position it on the post so the longer side goes front to back on post. On some posts you may need to turn the collar "caddy-corner" to slide over the top of the t-post like in the drawings below and then turn to straighten and then place between the lugs of the post.
WEDGE
INSTALLATION WITH UNIVERSAL COLLAR
Slide wedge over back rib of post. Hold collar tight against the front of the post and slide wedge down the back rib of T-post and inside the collar.
NOTE: For older Canadian T-Posts without lugs on the front of the post reverse wedge and slide from the bottom up & use 1/4" bolt to secure.

SOCKETS
The sockets will slide onto the sides of the collar. If you want it on the front side of the post put this one on before the wedge goes in. If it's hard to slide on use your thumb on the inside to push the tabs out a bit, if it's too loose to stay on push the tabs in some.
Some Helpful Tips...
- Install bottom wire first. For additional strength use cross wires if you feel it's necessary.
- On main corner & end posts, wrap wires alternately, first one direction, next the other direction, to prevent post from twisting.
- Use 7' or 8' T-Post in corners, drive in 2' - 3' so post is in ground same as wood post. If 7' or 8' T-posts are unavailable you can drive two posts back to back with one post deeper. This also works if your soil is extremely loose
- If T-post turns in the ground causing misalignment, take a pipe wrench and connect to T-post at ground level. Then slowly twist T-post back into proper alignment.
- For heavy pulls, use a diagonal brace wire (opposite direction of brace) and tiethe brace post to brace wire where they cross in center.
- On the brace T-post, remove spade with hammer. To adjust tension on brace if it's too loose or tight, tap one or the other up-right post deeper into the ground.
- For strength and stability when using horizontal brace follow with a diagonal brace. T-posts will lean when wire is stretched with only a horizontal brace.
IF NEEDED: This will give you a longer post in the ground, for use mainly if 7-8' posts are not available or if your soil is extremely loose. For more strength in the corners, double posts by putting T-Posts back to back, as shown in diagram, wire together with one post higher to hold collar for Wedge-loc bracing system.
